Efficiency Assessment

Our goal is to help our clients save water in the most practical and cost-effective way given their irrigation system and landscape constraints, and their specific objectives or desires. We are Irrigation Association and QWEL certified Auditors, with 15+ years of auditing experience, and over 60 years in the irrigation and landscape industry. Our full Water Saver Audits, provide detailed and specific recommendations for irrigation efficiency improvements, including analysis of the actual water cost and savings. Many so-called water or irrigation experts lack the training, expertise, breadth of experience, or motives to provide the best recommendations.

What Happens at an Efficiency Assessment

Step One: The Efficiency Assessment starts in the field with a system data collection from each zone while it is operating.

Step Two: Programming and scheduling features of the system and controllers are also reviewed and noted.

Step Three: We organize the details of our audit and provide our analysis in a System Efficiency Report. This report includes a high-level summary with an expected savings and return on investment (ROI) calculation for our recommendations. Our reports include detailed recommendations to improve the efficiency for each zone, and a summary for use by decision makers.

From our efficiency assessment, it is typical to find 20-40% in water savings!

These savings come when the recommended irrigation efficiency repairs and upgrades have been completed and the system is being actively managed.

We Can Also Perform Distribution Uniformity Tests

Distribution Uniformity (DU) audits help to determine the specific application uniformity of each zone along with the actual precipitation rates that can be used to calculate proper scheduling and run times.
